Old Woman Bay
Created in studio from my experiences at Old Woman Bay on Lake Superior this painting expresses the sheer volume of the rock formations that make up the Old Woman at the bay. When you visit the bay you’re greeted by this immense land mass that stands above the bay and casts deep shadows on the water below. The darkness contrasts the bright light of the sun on the opposite side of the bay. I love the drama it creates and I can feel its presence.
This original painting is 48” high and 30” wide with a depth of 1.5”. The artwork wraps around the edges. This provides a clean, finished, high-end look and makes the work ready to display without the need for a frame.
This painting was part of the “Superior Rocks” Art Show and Exhibition, open during the month of April 2026.
